Planning the perfect event can be overwhelming, but with CorkParties, you’re never alone! This FAQ section addresses common questions about our services, including Bouncy Castles, DJ hire, photobooths, selfie mirrors, cold sparks and more. Whether you’re organizing a birthday party, wedding, or corporate event, you’ll find answers that will make your planning process smooth and enjoyable. Bouncy Castle Hire Cork

➡️ When do we delivery the bouncy castles and how long do you have it for? ⌛

For a one-day bookings, we typically deliver it either the day before or before 12 on the morning of your booking and pick it up after 6pm or the following day. 🚚

If you are booking it for 2 days, let’s say for example a Saturday and Sunday. We would drop it on Friday or before 12 on Saturday and pick it up Sunday after 6pm or on Monday between 9am and 7pm. Most people book this option as they get the most value out of the bouncy castle and also in case it is raining on one of the days. ☔

The above times serve as a general reference and could be subject to change based on the availability of our delivery staff. When we finalize the schedule the day before your booking, we’ll provide you with a more accurate estimate of the delivery time for the bouncy castle. 📝 

➡️ What happens if the weather is very bad? ⛈️

All our bouncy castles have rain covers but you can cancel anytime before we deliver the bouncy castle. Once it’s delivered we have to charge in full and we take cash on delivery. 🚚 Most people book it for two days just in case one of the days is very bad. 🌧️

➡️ Do we take a deposit?

In the peak season when the demand for bouncy castles is very high, we take a deposit in order to book you in. A deposit ensures commitment from both parties and also protects us from potential losses if there is a last minute cancellation. 

➡️  Don’t have grass and thinking of setting up the inflatable on concrete, stones, patio slabs, or artificial grass? This could be a problem.

The only bouncy castles that can go on these surfaces are standard bouncy castles and bouncy castles with slides. We use sandbags to anchor these down instead of pegs and we bring extra mats for the front of it so the kids don’t get hurt while jumping in and out of the bouncy castle. We charge an extra €20 for this as it is a lot more work for us 😳

Obstacle courses and super slides can ONLY be placed on grass as it would be too dangerous to put on any other surface. These are very big inflatables and any bit of wind and they would take off like a balloon and would be detrimental if kids were on it.

➡️ Why Do We Request a Picture of Your Garden for Bouncy Castle or Obstacle Course Bookings?

Some gardens might not be suitable for safely setting up a bouncy castle, and it’s crucial to ensure the safety of our staff and equipment. In many cases, customers believe their garden is adequate, but upon arrival, we encounter challenges like tight access points, steep hills, walls, fields, or multiple steps.

Bouncy castles weigh over 150kg and require clear, level access for safe delivery and setup. By providing a picture or video of your garden during the booking process, we can:

  1. Confirm if your garden is suitable.

  2. Plan the delivery route effectively.

  3. Avoid any surprises or disappointments on the day of your event.

This simple step ensures a smooth, hassle-free experience for everyone involved and guarantees that your event runs as planned.

Light Up Numbers

➡️What size are the numbers? 📐

The light up numbers are roughly 4ft high x 3ft wide.

➡️ Do we take a deposit?

No we dont. You can cancel any time up to the day before the booking.

➡️ How do we take payment?

If its for a house we take cash on delivery.

If its in a venue you will have to pay us via paypal or revolut a few days before the event. On the day, we drop the numbers in our own time and we dont have time to be waiting around to get paid.

➡️ What if i tell you the time ill be at the venue to pay you?

This doesnt work for us becasue we could have 20 jobs the same day and cant be in every venue at the same time. The money would need to paid before the day.

➡️Does the balloons come with the ight up numbers? 🎈

No we dont supply balloons any more. Contact “Ask Balloons Cork” on facebook. They are very good and reasonable with prices 😊

Inflatable Nightclub Cork

➡️ What size is it? 📐

Our inflatable nightclub is 15ft wide by 15ft from front to back but you would need 18ft by 22ft to fit it in safely.

➡️ What is included with the inflatable nightclub?

Its comes with a built in speaker and disco lights as standard.

➡️ How many people fits into the inflatable nightclub?

Its about the same size as a standard size semi detatched living room so about 10 people. Take a look at the video and you would have a better idea of the size 📐

➡️ How Long do we have the inflatable pub for? ⌛

We normally drop it on the day of your booking before 1pm and pick it up the following day whenever the van driver is in the area. 🚚

When we make out a schedule the day before your booking we can give you a call and let you know what time we will be delivering the inflatable nightclub 📝

➡️ Does a floor come with it?

No we don’t provide a floor with it im afraid.

➡️ Does table and chairs come with it? 🪑

No. Only a speaker and disco lights come with it as standard.

Flower Wall Hire Cork

➡️ What size are the flower walls? 📐

The flower walls are 7ft x 7ft 🌸

➡️ Do we take a deposit?

No, we don’t. You can cancel anytime up to the day before the booking.

➡️ How do we take payment?

If it’s for a house, we take cash on delivery.

If it’s at a venue, you’ll need to pay via PayPal or Revolut a few days before the event. On the day, we drop the flower wall off at a time that works for us, as we don’t have time to wait around to get paid.

➡️ What if I tell you the time I’ll be at the venue to pay you?

This doesn’t work for us because we could have up to 20 jobs on the same day and can’t be in multiple venues simultaneously. The payment needs to be made before the day.

➡️ Do the balloons come with the flower wall? 🎈

No, we don’t supply balloons anymore. Contact Ask Balloons Cork on Facebook — they’re highly recommended and offer great prices! 😊

Candy Cart Hire Cork

➡️ What is included with the Candy Cart?

The candy cart comes with paper bags, shovels for the sweets, and about 8 to 10 jars. We don’t supply the sweets for insurance purposes so you will have to get these yourself. The cheapest place to get them would be aldi or lidl. Photobooth and Selfie Mirror Hire Cork

➡️ What time do you typically set up for events?

We aim to set up about 1 hour before the service starts, ensuring everything is ready to go by the agreed time. Let us know your event timeline, and we’ll adapt accordingly.

➡️ How much space do you need for the booth/selfie mirror?

We need approximately 3m x 3m of space and access to a power socket. If you’re unsure, let us know the venue details, and we’ll advise.

➡️ Can we personalize the prints?

Yes! We can include custom templates with names, dates, or themes to match your event. Let us know your preferences in advance.

➡️ What types of props are included?

Our Box of Props includes a variety of fun items such as hats, glasses, wigs, signs, and other themed accessories.

➡️ How long does it take to receive the digital pictures?

You will receive the digital copies via email within a few days after the event.

➡️ Is there an assistant present during the event?

Yes, a friendly Booth Assistant will be present to help guests, manage the prints, and ensure everything runs smoothly.
